Cathy A. Fermelia, DDS

For Dr. Cathy Fermelia, dentistry is more than just treating teeth; it’s about treating patients like family. Her passion for dentistry and for helping others is something that has driven Dr. Fermelia to give her patients first-class care in every way.
Dr. Fermelia received a degree in mathematics from Creighton University in 1981 before earning her dental degree from the school in 1985. After graduating, she worked at the Memorial Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Veterans Administration Hospital, and a rehabilitation center at Oklahoma Medical Center.
In 1991, she bought her practice in Lakewood, Colorado, and has been the recipient of multiple awards and has been named one of America’s Best Dentists. Dr. Fermelia is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Society.

Hannah Chase, DMD

Dr. Chase earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, with minors in Business and Music from Ohio State University. Dr. Chase went on to earn her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.
While in dental school, she externed with the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Orthodontics, as well as tutored her peers in fixed prosthodontics. Dr. Chase also spent time as a teaching assistant in the Restorative and Prosthodontic Preclinical Lab at UPenn. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Chase fulfilled her General Practice Residency at OSU. Since graduating, she’s made her way out to Colorado, working with Fermelia Dental.

Dr. Travis Barr, DDS

Dr. Barr finds genuine joy in his work as a dentist – something that often surprises people. While he appreciates the technical and scientific aspects of dentistry, what truly drives him is the meaningful, personal connections he builds with each patient. He believes dentistry is deeply personal and works every day to honor the trust patients place in him by creating an experience where they feel comfortable, respected, and fully informed. For Dr. Barr, great dentistry means treating the whole person. He takes the time to listen, invites patients into every decision, and ensures they feel supported and confident throughout their care.

A Northern Colorado native, Dr. Barr earned his DDS from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine after completing a degree in Biochemistry at the University of Northern Colorado. Before dental school, he also attended the Colorado School of Mines, where he passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. Dr. Barr has continued to advance his clinical skills through additional training and has been recognized with honors in implantology and clinical merit throughout his education. These experiences strengthen his commitment to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care grounded in both skill and compassion.

Dr. Barr and his wife, a high school principal, are proud to be raising their two sons and daughter in the mountains they love. Outside the office, their family stays busy with the kids’ sports and activities, and they spend as much time as possible camping, hiking, fishing, and exploring Colorado’s outdoors together.
